2011

The Lung Transplant Support Organization (LTSO) will hold its 2nd Annual Breath of Hope Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Legacy Golf Resort to help support services the organization has been providing to the lung transplant patients at St. Joseph’s hospital for over three years.

The LTSO facilitates support for patients and their families, including supplying the transplant patients with laptops to communicate with their families during recovery, helps to mitigate the costs for transplant recipients, and also provides assistance in temporary housing, food, and travel costs

Foursomes are available and on a limited basis. Over $16,000 in prizes and giveaways will be awarded to golfers. A $5,000 putt contest will take place also. To get more information about sponsorships or to register, please call Sarah Workman at 602-692-8456 or email: Sarah@SarahAnneEvents.com

Glenn Hutchinson, President of The Lung Transplant Support Organization (LTSO), said, “The fundraisers are a major reason we are able to offer our wonderful services for over three years now. We are very thankful for all the community support.”

Prices are $85.00 per golfer and $340.00 for a foursome and include greens fees, cart, breakfast, luncheon, awards, silent auction and raffle. The Legacy Golf Resort is located at 6808 S. 32nd Street, Phoenix, AZ. Shotgun start begins at 7:30 A.M.

About The Lung Transplant Support Organization
The Lung Transplant Support Organization (LTSO) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Founded in 2008, the Lung Transplant Support Organization (LTSO) facilitates support for patients and their families, including supplying the transplant patients with laptops to communicate with their families during recovery, helps to mitigate the costs for transplant recipients, and also provides assistance in temporary housing, food, and travel costs. Each year more than 1,400 lung transplants are performed, but many more are needed. Lung transplantation is often the only treatment option for patients with severe cystic fibrosis (CF), with end-stage lung disease, and other chronic lung diseases.

Your help will enable the Lung Transplant Support Organization (LTSO) to continue to help with the types of activities above and to work towards the long term goal of providing housing near the hospital for transplant recipients and their caretakers as transplant patients have frequent clinic follow ups to ensure they are recovering well.
